Welcome to the new and improved pktdc.org, now powered by WordPress and hosted by BlueHost. This new site infrastructure should allow for quicker updates, more features, and greater interactivity with visitors. The design / layout is still a work in progress, so you may notice a few minor changes here and there for a few days until everything gets smoothed out. We have also changed hosts once again, so hopefully all goes well this time so we can stay put for the years to come. Thanks for your patience through this process, and stay tuned for future updates.

The Washington Nationals vs. Florida Marlins game will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010 at Nationals Park in Washington, DC. The game starts at 7:05 PM and we plan to meet at The Bullpen outside the Park prior to the game for food and refreshments. All local PhiKaps, significant others, children, and friends are welcome to join and are encouraged to attend.

The cost of tickets for the game will be $40 per person. Tickets may be purchased with a credit/debit card by clicking the “Buy Now” button on this page (processing is handled by Google Chekcout), or by mailing a check to: PKTDC Alumni Association, 3605 Chain Bridge Road, Suite B, Fairfax, Virginia 22030.

The First Annual PKTDC Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 starting at 10:00 am at Bristow Manor Golf Club located at 11507 Valley View Drive, Bristow, VA 20136. This event will benefit the United Service Organizations (USO) in memory of our brother, Thomas Brown, 1st Lt. U.S. Army, who lost his life in the line of duty. Proceeds will be donated to the USO to benefit those who have served and are currently serving our country.

The cost of tickets for the event will be $90 per person and will include the round of golf (tee times begin at 10:30 am and will be staggered at 10 minute intervals), a range token, a meal option (a small banquet will take place after the tournament), and two drink options. Tickets may be purchased by clicking the “Buy Now” button on this page. Processing is handled by Google Checkout.

The PKTDC website is finally back online after an issue with our previous hosting provider. We have now moved to a local, more reliable host that should serve us well for the years to come. Also, as you may have noticed, we have relocated to www.pktdc.org to better reflect our organization. The .com address will continue to work for some time and will automatically redirect you to the new .org address, but won’t be around forever, so please update your bookmarks. Lastly, the site has been given a slight refresh to provide a better layout and overall experience.
